Resolved: Database Outage

The failed database is fully restored.

A failed server had to be replaced. There should be no data loss associated with this outage.

Resolved: Some Apps having problems launching

App operations are fully restored.

We've identified the original cause, a component not restarting properly and are taking steps to ensure that it is detected earlier.

Update: 'heroku restart' should fix any affected apps. We're still working through restarting affected apps but you can manually restart them yourselves.

App Operations

Health of the apps running on Heroku and HTTP requests to them. Includes dynos, database, caching (HTTP caching and memcached), other platform components (DelayedJob workers, cron, etc.), and routing.

Tools

Health of deployment workflow and tools. Includes deployment (git push, gem installation, slug compilation, etc.), general git activity, command line gem/API (scaling up/down, changing configuration, etc.), and related services (rake, console, db push/pull with TAPS, etc.).
